Ingredients
- Pork Schnitzel
- 6 boneless top pork loin chops (1/2 inch thick, 1 1/2 pounds), trimmed
- To taste sea salt & freshly ground black pepper
- cup all-purpose flour
- cup dried bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- cup milk
- 2 fl oz vegetable oil
Instructions
- Pork Schnitzel
- Place chops between 2 sheets of waxed paper. With meat mallet or rolling pin, pound to 1/8-inch thick. Sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper.
- Place flour and bread crumbs in separate bowls and make an “egg wash” by whisking together egg and milk. Lightly coat cutlets in flour, shaking off excess; dip in egg mixture, then into bread crumbs, pressing crumbs to coat.
- Heat oil in large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat. Place cutlets in the frying pan and cook, turning once, until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.
- Place golden brown schnitzel on paper towel covered plate (to absorb extra fat).
